For years and years, I’ve tried finding the BEST Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe, but I have failed miserably.
I’ve found a delicious malted milk chocolate chip cookies which are one of my favorite cookies, BUT they are as flat as a pancake.
What I have been in search of is the delicate blend of a beautifully puffy, chewy chocolate chip cookie and top notch delicious flavor.
Well, it is with pure excitement, that I announce that I have done it!
I have found
The PERFECT Chocolate Chip Cookie!
I am so excited to share the recipe with you today.
Here is what you will need:
1 cup butter, room temperature
1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp coarse sea salt
1 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
2 3/4 cup all purpose flour
12 oz. bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
Cream butter and both sugars together at medium speed, until light brown color is achieved, about 4 minutes.
Scrape down the bowl and add eggs and vanilla. Beat for 2 more minutes.
Add all dry ingredients, except chocolate chips, and mix until incorporated.
Pour in chocolate chips and mix a final time.
Form balls about 2 Tbsp worth of cookie dough {i use a medium scoop} and place on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
Bake for 8-10 minutes, until edges are brown.
Remove from the oven and drop the pan straight down onto a flat counter, it will force the cookies to settle and give it that “perfect” appearance.
Let cool on baking racks.
Marvel in your glorious cookies!
Enjoy.
