I’ve never made homemade pizza before and I was just dying to try a BBQ chicken one with fresh corn on the cob!
I made this delicious, savory BBQ chicken pizza with gouda cheese and cilantro. It was OUT.OF.THIS.WORLD.
I am loving making pizza now and keep trying new varieties!
Try this recipe for BBQ Chicken Pizza today!
Start with your frozen pizza dough and set it out to thaw.
This is the brand that I bought and really liked it.
Let it rise and double…triple in size.
When you are ready, roll it out.
Get your fresh corn on the cob!
While the corn is cooking, make your bbq chicken mixture.
Yum! Then shred all the cheeses. I love freshly grated extra sharp cheddar cheese!
Look at all that amazing gouda!
Life gets better with cheese….
Now begint he assembly. Spread bbq sauce all over the pizza crust.
Then sprinkle cheddar cheese over the bbq sauce.
Then add the delicious bbq chicken.
and try to not drool over your creation thus far…..
After that corn is all cooked, let it cool and cut it off the cob.
Add it all over the pizza.
At this stage I had to just take a moment to savor the beauty of this recipe.
I {love} all the colors!
Don’t forget to add the gouda all over the top.
After it bakes, cover it with cilantro!
- 1 store bought pizza crust, i used Tiseo's frozen crust
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 1/2 cups shredded chicken, from a rotisserie
- 1 1/2 cups bbq sauce
- 6 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, freshly grated
- 1 cup fresh sweet corn kernels ( 2 ears)
- 4 ounces gouda cheese, freshly grated
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 Tbsp evoo
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- Preheat oven to the temperature the pizza crust states.
- Then heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil.
- Stir in the salt, pepper, and garlic, chicken, and 1/2 cup of the bbq sauce and turn of the heat.
- Roll out the pizza dough to around 12-16 inch circle.
- Spread the remaining bbq sauce all over pizza dough.
- Add cheddar cheese and then add the chicken mixture.
- Sprinkle corn over top and then finish with the gouda cheese.
- Bake for about 25-30 minutes. Add cilantro over top and enjoy!
